Prior to the last quarter of the 19th century, golfers or their caddies carried their clubs, sometimes held together by a leather strap. The first practical club carriers were either a simple canvas bag or in the style presented here, with the clubs balanced on a strip of wood between the two leather carrying handles.
The Club Set comprises of a typical set of the era, 5 woods and 2 irons:- Driver, Long-Spoon, Middle Spoon, Short Spoon and Putter, Lofter and Rut Niblick. These are presented on a Fine Display Stand.
