From its earliest days, when it was undertaken as a profitable sideline by bowmakers in the 17th century, golf clubmaking has been a precise and exciting art.

Nick's grandfather and great-grandfather were from Stonehaven in Scotland where the family lived for many generations, making their own 'scared-head' putters to be used at Aberdeen, St. Andrews and other renowned Scottish courses. It was from this family tradition that Nick acquired his love of golf and its history, spending most of his life refurbishing antique clubs, studying the history of the game and playing golf.

Nick Pearce produces golfing momentos that are unique, enormously in demand and sound investments, as well as works of art in their own right.

Scaled Replica Clubs of 1860

Today there is an emerging market for traditionally made items, and more importantly, craftsmen able to produce them, using traditional design, methods and materials. Nick Pearce has taken this art of clubmaking into a new dimension with the creation of miniature replica clubs, thereby retaining a link to the early bowmakers and clubmakers of the 17th century.
