'The Rules of Golf 1754 and H. Vardon' T. Gilbert
This historical image lists the original thirteen Articles and Laws in Playing the Golf ( Society of St. Andrews Golfers - 1754) and depicts Harry Vardon. Published as a hand water coloured grauve etching which is individually hand printed from copper plate. This image is greatly enhanced with the inclusion of a 1/4 scale set of clubs circa 1754 which are: PlayClub, Scraper, HalfScraper, Putter and Track Iron.

Here Nick has teemed up with leading westcountry calligrapher Lisa Scatergood to create a unique momento for golfing enthusiasts and collectors.
This print depicts the original 'Thirteen Articles and Laws in Playing at Golf' as first written in 1744.
Each print shows the laws written in a copperplate style enhanced by the inclusion of a hand made 1/4 scale replica 'Play Club' (c.1744). (Items are identical to the framed Print and Club below )

Nineteenth Century Golf Bag and Clubs
Circa 1880 (1/4 Scale). Limited Edition of no more then 500 w.w.
(Bag with Clubs approx. 12" high)

Prior to the last quarter of the 19th century, golfers or their caddies carried their clubs, sometimes held together by a leather strap. The first practical club carriers were either a simple canvas bag or in the
style presented here, with the clubs balanced on a strip of wood between the two leather carrying handles.

The Club Set comprises of a typical set of the era, 5 woods and 3 irons:- Driver, Long-Spoon, Middle Spoon, Short Spoon and Putter, General Iron, Lofter and Rut Niblick. These are presented on a Fine Display Stand.
